Product description
Hypax 2180 BSB is a low VOC “package” formulated to produce high performance anti-corrosive coatings by simple dilution with oils or solvents.
Hypax 2180 BSB contains barium salts of oxidised wax and sulphonic acids to give outstanding salt spray and humidity resistance, along with demulsification and water displacing properties. Hypax 2180 BSB is non-staining and fully soluble in aliphatic solvents and oil. Hypax 2180 BSB is supplied as a viscous liquid which is readily blended with solvent or oil to produce outstanding performance in salt spray and humidity tests.

Application
Hypax 2180 BSB is diluted with solvent at 10-25% and can be applied by dipping or spray. When the solvent has evaporated a dry film of 1–5 microns is deposited (dependent on concentration, application and drying methods).
By diluting Hypax 2180 BSB with an equal amount of oil and then further solvent dilution an oily film is produced which is ideal for undercover storage conditions.
Packaging
Hypax 2180 BSB is available in 170Kg steel drums and 1000 litre IBCs or as required by the customer.
The recommended shelf life of this product is 2 years.
